Call to Schedule
We ask that all of our new patients please call us to schedule their first appointment prior to coming in. While our office accepts walk-ins, we prefer to know in advance of anyone coming to our office for their first visit to allot them the proper time needed. We always do our best to schedule our new patients with an appointment time that accomodates their schedule.
New Patient Forms
Upon arriving, you will be greeted and welcomed to the office. You will then be asked to complete our new patient forms (if you haven't already completed them), which provide us with our first look at your health history and information on your condition.
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Charlie to discuss your condition, your questions and concerns and potential treatment options. Your consultation is designed for us to learn more about you, your condition and expectations to determine how treatment at our office can best meet your desired goals.
After your consultation, Dr. Charlie will perform a complete examination which will include spinal and postural analysis, an 3D BodyView digital foot scan and orthopedic and neurological testing to fully assess your condition.
In some cases, Dr. Charlie may order X-rays or MRIs for a more definitive diagnosis of your condition and to develop the most effective treatment plan for you as well as to determine whether or not your condition will require co-treatment with other physicians in conjunction with the care you receive at our office.
Preliminary Report of Findings
Following your consultation and examination, Dr. Charlie will review his preliminary findings with you and answer any questions you may have including:
- How can chiropractic help me?
- How often will I need to come in?
- What will my treatments cost?
After your first visit, Dr. Charlie will further analyze your exam findings. On your second visit, Dr. Charlie will discuss a more comprehensive report of findings with you as well as options for a customized treatment plan based on your exam findings, Dr. Charlie's treatment recommendations, your desired treatment goals and also whether or not your condition will require co-treatment with other physicians in conjunction with our treatments. Our office strives to provide our patients with the best treatment plans customized to their unique and specific needs.
Following your preliminary report of findings, if you wish to proceed, it's very likely that you would receive your first treatment that day. In addition to spinal adjustments, your treatment may also include decompression therapy, intersegmental traction, soft tissue therapy and stretches.
Prior to leaving, Dr. Charlie will recommend a preliminary home care plan for you. This home care plan could include the use of ice, heat, stretches and even activity modifications. Following your second visit, Dr. Charlie will provide you with a more comprehensive home care plan of specific stretches, exercises and recommendations customized to your unique condition to incorporate into your treatment outside the office. Recovering from your injuries and achieving optimal health is a team effort and we've found that those who take an active role in their care tend to have the best treatment outcomes.
