Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! With a new year upon us, many of us make resolutions for many different things ranging from spending more time with our families, getting out of debt and one that we always hear, being more healthy. At our office, we're slightly biased, but we would urge everyone to take charge of their health, not just for a new years resolution that unfortunately fades for many, but to make better health a priority in your life by integrating better health and wellness principles into your lifestyle to maintain that better health once it's achieved.

So where do you start? Go to the gym every day? Change your diet over night? Of course not. These sudden and drastic type of changes won't stick. Instead, we recommend that you make small adjustments to your lifestyle, making these changes more gradually, which will lead to longstanding healthy habits. One of the first steps you can take in your quest for better health is to make chiropractic care part of your lifestyle.

If you've read some of the information here on our website, you know that chiropractic isn't just for neck and back pain, it's a holistic approach to ensuring optimal function of your body which helps to ensure optimal health. The nervous system controls the function of everything in our entire bodies from things on a large scale such regulating our heartbeat to things on the smallest miscroscopic levels of ensuring the proper function of the heart muscle's smallest single cells. When vertebrae in our spine, designed for both movement and protecting the nervous system,  become misaligned due to stress, injuries, postural distortions and even the aging process, it places a stress on the nervous system. This stress causes decreased function of the cells and organs that the irritated spinal nerve is responsible for supplying, leading to decreased function and overall decreased health. Chiropractic works by removing these nervous system stresses and spinal misalignments by way of spinal adjustments that restore your body's optimal functioning ability, leading to restored health.

There are many ways available to us to achieve the better health that we seek. Many of these changes can be used in conjunction with each other to achieve your goal of better health even faster.

We recommend these three simple steps to help you reach these goals:

  • Eat a healthy and balanced diet where it's not the end of the world if you have some pizza here and there
  • Be more active through things as simple as taking a walk around your neighborhood 2-3 times a week
  • Make periodic chiropractic care part of your lifestyle to ensure your body's optimal function and optimal health

On behalf of our office, we wish you all the best for a happy and healthy new year!
