Help Us Gain Our Next 100 Pounds For the Holidays!

***UPDATE***
We are extremely happy to say that we closed out this year's Holiday Food
Drive with over 200 pounds of food as well as $25 in donations! Thank you to
everyone for your great generosity and for all those who donated, take pride in
knowing that you've helped those less fortunate than us this holiday season!

Once again, our office is organizing a food drive for the holidays that will run from now through the end of the year. We're extremely proud that all of our past food drives have been great successes. Last year, we collected and  donated over 500 pounds of food to help benefit those less fortunate than us! The first two years of running our food drives, one of our patients, George Sabo III, showed tremendous generosity contributing nearly half of the food donated by himself! Sadly, George lost his battle with Hodgkin's Disease in October, 2010. Since then, I thought that it would be appropriate to rename our Holiday Food Drive the George Sabo III Holiday Food Drive to honor and celebrate George's memory and generosity.

I ask that you please help us reach our first goal of collecting at least 100 pounds of food to donate to help benefit both the Wood Street Food Pantry and the Bucks County Housing Group and all those less fortunate than us. The holidays are one of those times of the year that we can reflect back and be thankful for all that we have. Family, friends, jobs, a roof over our heads and food in our kitchens. According to Bucks County Housing Group's website, the people who utilize their food pantries are choosing between eating and putting gas in their car to go to work. Sometimes we all have it hard, but there is always someone doing worse off then us, so let's help them this upcoming holiday season.

Help us help these people by stopping by the office and donating what you can!

Some of the ideal foods for donating are: canned goods, microwave meals, soups, powdered milk, rice, cereal, coffee, peanut butter, jelly, baby foods, applesauce and fruit cups. For those who cannot donate a canned good, we will also be accepting donations for both the Wood Street Food pantry and the Bucks County Housing Group as a $1 donation to a food bank can provide 4 pounds of food!

Once again, please help us help those less fortunate than us this
holiday season by stopping by the office and donating what you can!
