COVID-19 Office Update (3/20/20)

Normal Office Hours Suspended as of March 20th

On Thursday, March 19th, Governor Wolf issued an order calling for all non-life-sustaining businesses in Pennsylvania to close their physical locations as of 8pm that night to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. I wanted to take the time here to explain how this order impacts us.

As it pertains to our normal office hours through the week, these hours have been temporarily suspended as of Friday morning, March 20th. However, because we are categorized as a medical office in the life-sustaining businesses list provided by the PA.gov website, chiropractic offices may continue physical operations, but under limited guidelines.

The PA Chiropractic Association (PCA), has been in touch with the Governor's office and other state officials and have learned that all healthcare and social assistance services (with the exception of child day care) may continue their physical operations, but to prohibit elective care and elective care procedures. In a statement released by the PCA, they note that "emergent care, urgent care, acute care or active care which may adversely affect the patient's health if postponed, can be administered and should be done in accordance with current CDC guidelines".

With this in mind, in compliance with the extended mitigation period initially ordered on Sunday, March 15th, as well as Governor Wolf's latest Stay-at-Home order, issued Monday, April 20th, our normal hours are temporarily suspended until further notice until a date is announced that Bucks County can enter the yellow phase as part of Governor Wolf's plan to reopen Pennsylvania.

However, while our normal hours are temporarily suspended, the current orders in place do allow us the ability to see those who are in active (acute) pain or in need of urgent or emergency care in terms of the conditions that we typically treat. If you need to be seen for this type of treatment, please call the office at (215) 788-3608 and I will be in touch with you.

Please watch the video below for our most up-to-date details in terms of
how Governor Wolf's plan to reopen Pennsylvania by counties in phases
specifically pertains to us in terms of when we can return to our normal hours.

If anyone has any questions or concerns about things
here at the office, please don't hesitate to call us.

Take care and be safe,

Dr. Charlie
