Spinal and Extremity Adjustments

Chiropractic adjustments balance your spine, normalize joint function, relieve stress on your muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves and restores your body's natural ability to heal itself.

Adjustments are used to remove subluxations (which are joints that are fixated, "locked up" or not moving properly) in the spine and other joints in the body that can lead to postural distortions, pain syndromes and acceleration of degenerative processes such as arthritis if left uncorrected.

Chiropractic adjustments are extremely safe for people of all ages from children to seniors. To cite an example of the safety of chiropractic adjustments, newborns have been adjusted after being delivered to correct any spinal misalignments or joint dysfunction at that occur from the birthing process.

The benefits of chiropractic adjustments include
Pain relief
Correction of subluxations
Improved spinal and extremity joint biomechanics
Releasing pinched nerves
Decreasing muscle spasms
Improved flexibility and range of motion
Restoring your body's natural healing ability

Decompression Therapy

Disc decompression therapy has shown to be extremely effective (upwards of 80%) in relieving pain associated with herniated or bulging discs, degenerative discs from arthritis, frequent headaches as well as neck and back pain or stiffness resulting from activites that require long periods of sitting (a desk job, working at a computer, driving, etc) or standing.

Through the use of Expanding Ellipsoidal Decompression technology, your spine is restored to its natural curvatures, allowing damaged discs to decompress and rehydrate. Restoring these spinal curvatures is essential to treatment because without them, excessive stress is shifted from the spine to your discs, muscles, ligaments and tendons, resulting in altered spinal biomechanics, which can lead to pain and accelerated degenerative processes.

When the spine is returned to its natural curvatures, it helps reduce bulging and herniated discs, relieve pressure on the spinal cord and spinal nerves as well as improve disc blood flow, nutrient exchange and waste product removal, all of which accelerate the healing process, making it an excellent adjunct to your spinal adjustments and treatment plan.

The benefits of decompression therapy include
Pain relief
Decompression of the spine, spinal discs and pinched nerves
Restoration of the natural spinal curvatures
Improved spinal biomechanics
Stretching tight muscles
Decreasing muscle spasms

Spinal Pelvic Stabilizers

Do you know what your feet can tell you about your spinal health? You should have your feet evaluated for imbalances that could be causing you to experience ankle, knee, hip, lower back pain, neck pain and even headaches. Foot Levelers' Associate Platinum scanner allows us to check your feet for any problems that could be causing you to transmitting excessive forces to other joints of your body with each step that you take.

Your feet are the foundation for your entire body. Like any foundation, your structure must be stable to support the weight above it. If there is an imbalance in your feet, your body loses its support system, causing an imbalance in your skeletal frame resulting in multiple postural distortions. Each time your foot hits the ground when you take a step with this improper structural support, excessive forces are transferred throughout your body resulting in possible ankle, knee, hip, lower back pain, neck pain and headaches even if your feet don't hurt!

Foot Levelers is the exclusive provider of Spinal Pelvic Stabilizers, custom-made orthotics that you wear in your shoes. They help create a balanced foundation for your body by supporting all three arches of each of your feet, restoring your body's balance and improving your posture, alignment and total body wellness.

Active Rehabilitation and Therapeutic Exercise

Active care (activites done by the patient) is a critical part of the equation to not only recovery, but also for the prevention of future or recurring injuries. Part of our treatment plans for all our patients include active care to help accelerate the recovery process. Once your injuries are fully healed, these exercises are extremely beneficial in maintaining your condition and avoiding future re-injury.

Our office uses resistance tubing, physioballs, foam rollers, wobble boards, valslides and stretching ropes in our active care plans to focus on postural correction, injury rehabiliation and core stabilization. Core stabilization has shown to be an effective, long-term solution to recurring lower back and neck pain. It produces sustained improvement by increasing your core strength, stability and coordination, which reduces your risk for future injuries or re-injury of a current condition. Core stabilization is also a tremendous tool for athletes looking to improve their performance on the field.

The benefits of active rehabilitation and therapeutic exercises include
Stretching tight muscles
Decreasing muscle spasms
Increased core strengh, endurance, stability and coordination
Increased range of motion and mobility
Improved venous and lymphatic drainage

Reduced risk for future re-injury
